Pay with the AmeriHealth mobile app
Use the AmeriHealth mobile app to pay your premium from your smartphone. Each month you can view the amount due, enter your bank account or prepaid debit card information, and submit your payment.
Don't have the app yet? Download it free from the App Store or Google Play. Log in with the same username and password you use at amerihealth.com. After you log in, select Pay My Bill. Be sure you're using the latest version of the app.
Pay by Text
With Pay by Text, you can pay your premium in seconds from your smartphone. You'll also get a text alert before your due date if you haven't paid yet. There's no cost to enroll in Pay by Text (standard message and data rates may apply). You can opt out at any time. Here's how to enroll:
- Log in at amerihealth.com.
- Click Pay My Bill.
- Under Pay by Text, select Set Up Now.
Pay through eBill
Skip paper bills and pay with eBill instead. Starting up to 15 days before your coverage begins, you can log in at amerihealth.com to view your bill, make a one-time payment, or set up recurring payments. You can also sign up for alerts when your bill is due, your payment amount changes, or a payment is deducted from your account.
How to make a one-time payment
You can set up a one-time payment in eBill. Before you begin, have your bank account and routing numbers ready.
- Log in at amerihealth.com.
- Select Pay My Bill from your Dashboard.
How to set up recurring payments
If you have an unpaid bill, you must first make a one-time payment. Then you can set up a recurring payment for future invoices.
- Enter your bank account information by following the instructions for making a one-time payment.
- Select Add Recurring Payment in the upper right-hand corner.
- Complete the required fields and select Set Recurring. You can schedule a payment up to 10 days before the payment due date.
Important: You can only use eBill to make payments before the due date. To pay a past-due bill, please choose another payment option. Also, if you currently use eBill and change products (e.g., going from an HMO plan to a PPO plan), you must set up a new recurring payment.
Pay by credit or debit card
For your initial premium payment, we accept Amex, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa prepaid debit or credit cards. To pay with a credit card, you can:
- Pay by phone: Use our automated system at 1-800-313-9168 (TTY: 711).
- eBill: Log in at amerihealth.com and select Pay my Bill.
Pay by check or money order
Your bill includes a detachable payment slip with your billing account number and payment address. When paying by personal check or money order, please remember to:
- Write the amount you are enclosing on the payment slip and return it with your payment.
- Check that the address is showing through the return envelope window when mailing in your payment.
If you lose your envelope, mail the payment to the address on your payment slip using another envelope.
Set up automatic withdrawals from your bank account (ACH)
You can use your bank's online bill pay service to make one-time or recurring payments from your bank account. You need the following information for setup:
- Billing account number: Your billing account number is printed on your bill payment slip. It is different from your member ID number, which is printed on your ID card.
- Payment address: This address is printed at the bottom of your bill and on the payment slip.
Important: Set up a new biller using the payment address on your invoice. If you use your bank's online bill pay service and change health plans, you must delete the current biller and set up a new biller using the new account number and payment address printed on your bill.
