AmeriHealth New Jersey to Stay the Course With ACA-Compliant Plans
Cranbury, NJ - December 17, 2013 - AmeriHealth New Jersey today announced the company will not renew individual and small group plans for 2014 that aren’t ACA-compliant.
Last month the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance announced that New Jersey insurers would have the option to renew existing individual and small group plans for one additional year.
At renewal, AmeriHealth New Jersey will provide its customers with compliant choices that are comparable to their previous benefit plan.
“After much consideration about the impact on our members, we have decided to move forward with the suite of ACA-compliant health plans we have worked so diligently to create over the last several years,” said Judith L. Roman, president & CEO of AmeriHealth New Jersey. “Our new plans provide a variety of options at various price points as well as more comprehensive benefits, which we believe will help further enhance the health and well-being of our members.”
