AmeriHealth New Jersey Rolls Out New Lower-Cost Health Plans

New and Improved Small Employer Group Options Give More Choice to NJ Businesses

Iselin, NJ - July 2, 2007 - AmeriHealth New Jersey today announced the introduction of new and improved health plans specifically for New Jersey small employers. Designed for companies with two to 50 employees, these plans provide lower-cost alternatives for employers seeking to reduce their health care expenses. These plans are available July 1, 2007.

The features of the new plans include:

  • Deductible and coinsurance HMO options with lower out-of-pocket maximums
  • Prescription coverage equal to out-of-network deductible and coinsurance available with POS designs
  • Lower price points
  • Access to New York doctors and specialists with more POS Plus plans
