In his role, Munoz will oversee the entire AmeriHealth sales organization in New Jersey, including new business and retention. “Michael’s background in developing new business opportunities will help us expand our company’s presence in New Jersey, with a focus in the central and northern part of the state, where we see exciting opportunities for growth.” said Roman. “We’re delighted to add his expertise to our management team.” John Daddis, senior vice president of AmeriHealth, Inc., added, “AmeriHealth’s growth in this past year has been impressive; we’re excited about Michael’s presence and what that will add to our momentum.” Munoz was previously the vice president of sales for the mid–Atlantic region and new business opportunities for Oxford Health Plans in Iselin, NJ. There, he was responsible for the start–up and rollout of new product offerings, and expansion into Pennsylvania, Delaware, and southern New Jersey regions, as well as renewing membership of about 150,000 members in the tri–state area. Munoz has more than 18 years experience in the health insurance industry, with positions of increasing responsibility in marketing. He resides in Moorestown, NJ with wife, Sharon, and three children.
