Larc School Applauds AmeriHealth New Jersey President & CEO

Local School for Children with Disabilities Honors William Haggett for His Generosity

Bellmawr, NJ – January 24, 2006 – Larc School named William Haggett, President & CEO of AmeriHealth New Jersey, Appreciation Breakfast Honoree this morning at their annual gathering to thank friends and sponsors for their support in 2005.

"Each year, Larc selects an individual who has made a significant contribution to the well-being of our school and names them the Appreciation Breakfast Honoree. Bill and AmeriHealth New Jersey have been special friends of Larc School for several years now supporting our events and ultimately our children. We are thrilled to honor him with this award," said Susan Weiner, Executive Director of Larc School.

"I am most grateful for this honor," said William Haggett. "One cannot help but be touched by the students at Larc and impressed with the hard work and dedication of the Larc School Board of Directors, and the Larc staff, teachers and therapists."

"AmeriHealth is a company that cares about the health status of our community and our members," said Haggett. "I am proud of the company's relationship with Larc, which serves the needs of disabled children throughout the South Jersey region so well."

Since 2003, AmeriHealth New Jersey has been the naming sponsor of Larc's biggest fundraising event, the AmeriHealth Ben Franklin Bridge Challenge, a 10K run and Fun Walk to benefit the children with disabilities of Larc School. In 2005, with over 2,000 participants, this event has become one of the biggest and most unique events of its kind in the tri-state area.

"With AmeriHealth's involvement and support, the race has attracted a record-number of participants and raised more money than in previous years – funds that will make a difference in the lives of our students and their families," said Susan Weiner, Executive Director of Larc School. "We're very grateful for the participants and our sponsors for making this event such a huge success."
