'Family Business Forum' Explores Coaching, Mentoring For Family-Owned Businesses

AmeriHealth is premier sponsor of forum to help family firms succeed

Mount Laurel, NJ – January 19, 2006 – AmeriHealth New Jersey has formed a strategic partnership with the Rutgers University School of Business at Camden to become the premier sponsor of its Family Business Forum.

The Family Business Forum is a member organization of family business owners and professionals and was established in 2000 by Rutgers University School of Business in Camden to offer educational programs and special events to provide hands-on support to family businesses.

By partnering with Rutgers to sponsor the Family Business Forum, AmeriHealth will provide another dimension of support to its customers, many of whom manage small family-owned businesses. AmeriHealth will also help foster economic growth in South Jersey through family-owned businesses. According to the Family Business Forum, while U.S. family firms create more jobs and build wealth faster than any other segment of the economy, they face unique challenges. The Family Business Forum provides expertise, idea exchanges and networking opportunities to help family firms succeed in today's competitive business world.

"Sponsoring the Family Business Forum is a unique way to help AmeriHealth's customers, many of whom are small and family-owned businesses," said Martin J. Brill, VP Finance – AmeriHealth NJ. "We're pleased to help provide expert business advice to family-owned firms to assist them with solving family-related issues and addressing challenges that impact their business."

This month's Family Business Forum workshop, "The Astronaut and His Coach: The Value of Coaching & Mentoring," will be presented by Mark Kasrel, a licensed professional counselor, on Wednesday, January 25 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, NJ and on Thursday, January 26 at the Clarion Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ.
