For members

We understand and appreciate how personal your relationships can be with your physicians and other health care providers, and we are very sensitive to the impact on you of any potential disruption of care due to Academic choosing not to accept the terms of a new contract proposal. Our primary focus is to make any changes as seamless as possible and minimize a disruption of services for you. There are a few steps AmeriHealth’s commercial and Medicare Advantage members can take to switch to participating doctors and easily transition their care:

  • If you are an AmeriHealth commercial member you may visit the Provider Finder to obtain a list of participating physicians. Contact the physician’s office to make sure it is taking new patients.
  • If you are an AmeriHealth Medicare Advantage member you may visit the Provider Finder on www.amerihealthmedicare.com.
  • All members should request that their medical records be sent to their newly selected physician or medical practice.
