PHCQA’s mission is to improve the quality of patient health by developing a consistent, uniform, statewide approach to hospital quality measures that:

• enables consumers to compare hospital performance
• allows health care professionals to evaluate and improve the quality of their patient care
• helps insurers to evaluate the performance of their provider networks

The health care quality measures available on this site fall into four clinical areas:
